Sports Centre's Quest fro Top Status Rewarded

Manningtree Sports Centre (MSC) is hitting the top standards in its industry and has won an accolade to prove it!

The centre in Colchester Road, Lawford, which is run by Tendring District Council (TDC) and Manningtree High School, has been independently assessed this week.

After a thorough examination MSC has proved itself more than fit for purpose.

It has been confirmed that the centre will receive Quest Status, the UK quality scheme for sports and leisure which is managed by Sport England.

Quest defines industry standards and good practices. It encourages ongoing development and delivery within a customer focused management framework.

The centre was judged on a number of issues including customer experience, the team, continuous improvement, maintenance and equipment, environment, health and safety, cleaning and housekeeping.

MSC has a large sports hall, a small sports hall, climbing wall and fitness suite.

During the evening and at weekends the sports hall can be booked for a host of activities and regular classes and sessions are laid on throughout the year.

Both Frinton and Walton Swimming Pool and Harwich Sports Centre have recently achieved Quest status, which is also held by Clacton Leisure Centre, Brightlingsea Sports Centre and Dovercourt Swimming Pool.

All these leisure facilities are run by TDC.
