More than 20 teams battled it out for the honours in the
Tendring District Council's (TDC) Chairman's Charity Quiz.
The eventual winners by just one point were Surreal Madrid who
picked up the trophy and a bottle of wine each.
The evening was a huge success and raised £737.90 for the
Chairman's beneficiaries who this year are St Helena Hospice and
the RNLI.
The money was raised through the entry fee and a raffle.
TDC Chairman Alan Goggin was delighted with the outcome and
thanked all those who took part, including quizmaster Adrian
Robinson.
"We raised a fantastic amount of money for two very worthwhile
causes and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves," he said.
"I was disappointed that my own team narrowly missed out on the
trophy but in my book everyone was a winner."
Mr Robinson has organised more than 200 quizzes helping to raise
more than £80,000 for charity
