are several options for paying your Council Tax bill and you can
choose which way is most convenient for you:
Please ensure
that each instalment reaches us by the due date.
If you wish
to pay half yearly please pay your first five instalments on the 1
April and the remaining balance on 1 September.

dates is available - either the 1st, 8th, 15th, 20th or 28th of
each month

Direct Debit
is the easiest and cheapest method of making payment, both for you
and us. In addition, by reducing administration costs, paying by
Direct Debit helps to keep the level of everyone's bill
down.
When you
agree to pay by Direct Debit you are automatically covered by the
following guarantee:

This Guarantee is offered by all banks and building
societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits
If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your
Direct Debit Tendring District Council will notify you 10 working
days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise
agreed. If you request Tendring District Council to collect a
payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you
at the time of the request
If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit by Tendring
District Council or your bank or building society you are entitled
to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or
building society
- If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it
back when Tendring District Council asks you to
You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply
contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may
be required. Please also notify us.

If you are unable to pay your bill
or any of the instalments, or if you think your bill is wrong for
any reason, you should
contact us straight away. We
may be able to help you.
