Welcome to the Leisure Services section of the Council's website. The Council in conjunction with organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors provide a broad range of services for residents and visitors to the District. The objective of this website is to provide information and guidance to these services.

Leisure Services is responsible for the provision of the following services.

Amenities: horticultural services, recreation grounds, public open space, cemeteries and crematorium, children's play areas, fleet management and vehicle maintenance, allotments and meteorology.

Arts and Entertainment: Princes Theatre (incorporating the Youth Theatre Company) and special events including, the organisation of the Tour de Tendring.

Countryside: management of country parks and nature reserves and the Walton Backwaters Warden Service.

Seafront: management of the Council's beach huts service, seafront staff, shops and kiosks and the Council's build seafront assets (e.g. seafront shelters).

Sports: sports centres and swimming pools, youth sports development and grass pitch bookings.

Tourism: management of the Tourist Information Centre and tourism
