Corporate Performance Service

The Corporate Performance Team provides support to the Council's Management Board in the Corporate Leadership of the Council. It provides capacity to oversee the corporate performance of the Council and to focus efforts on the Council's priorities. The Team also facilitates the development of a service improvement culture throughout the Council through robust performance management.

The Team also supports projects such as Comprehensive Performance Assessment and consultation and identifies opportunities for the Council to benefit from external initiatives and challenges e.g. Government guidance and legislation and Audit Commission inspections.

ICT and the delivery of Electronic Services

The provision of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services (including e-government) to the Council and its customers is also delivered from within Corporate Performance. The Council recognises that ICT is a key lever for service improvement and business efficiencies and has an ongoing commitment to the implementation of additional and enhanced technology in order to ensure that both the Council and its customers are able to maximise the opportunities and benefits arising from Electronic Service Delivery (ESD).

However, the Council acknowledges that while technology has an important part to play in helping to realise its vision, it is service delivery that must be at the heart of our plans to meet the needs of our citizens in terms of when and how they can access the services they need

The team is also responsible for overseeing the Council's assets.
