The Committees annually put together their Work Programme and will be asking the Cabinet, the Town and Parish Councils and the Local Strategic Partnership, as well as all 60 District Councillors, if they have any issues they would like put forward for possible inclusion.

The Committees feel it is very important to invite ideas and suggestions from members of the community and therefore always welcome your comments. Please do take this opportunity to put forward an area you believe the Overview and Scrutiny Committee should look at. It will be considered for inclusion in a future Work Plan.

Any suggestion for reviews must meet the following criteria:

• Affect a group of people living within the Tendring District area;
• Relate to a service, event or issue in which the Council has a significant stake or over which the Council has an influence;
• Not be an issue which overview and scrutiny has considered during the last 12 months;
• Not relate to an individual service complaint;
• Not relate to matters dealt with by another Council committee, unless the issue deals with procedure.
