Receivers of adjoining land have requested the release of part of the Council's public open space in order to regularise the boundaries of their development following encroachment onto the Council's land. The adjoining owner has indicated that it may be possible to transfer some nearby land to mitigate any loss of the amount of public open space.

The disposal of the proposed area is not sufficiently large to materially impact on the utility of the remaining open space.

The Council proposes to dispose of approximately 652 square metres of land, forming part of the northern boundary of The Hangings, Dovercourt. A plan of the land in question can be download via the link below.
