Tendring District Council is committed to ensuring that
everyone has access to its services and can play an active role in
their community.
Through a new Local Strategic Partnership Board a Sustainable
Community Strategy for the district is being developed which will
identify the needs of the district, and in particular where
inequalities occur, focusing specifically on areas of deprivation.
Through joint working, the partners aim to improve the quality of
life for the residents of Tendring, and to build on the attraction
of the district to visitors, allowing good access to all.
The District Council is committed to Equality and Diversity, and
in both removing barriers that might restrict people's access to
services and proactively working towards positive change. The
Council aims to promote equal opportunities and ensure nobody is
discriminated against, directly or indirectly, as a result of their
disability.
