How your benefit will be paid:

If you receive Council Tax Benefit, it will be credited directly to your Council Tax account. You will then be billed for the reduced amount.

If you are a Council tenant, Housing Benefit will be credited to your rent account. This will reduce the amount of rent that you are left to pay.
