| What will success look like for Project
Tendring? |
|
Success both for Project Tendring generally and the
Company specifically will be measured:
- in the short term by establishing the Company and creating the
capacity to deliver (inputs);
- in the medium term by the delivery of regeneration projects on
the ground (outputs); and
- in the longer term by a positive impact on the significant
economic social and environmental needs of the district
(outcomes).
Whilst it is notoriously difficult to measure such complex
issues with specific performance targets, there are national and
more local measures we can use to assess progress. The SLA includes
the key aspirations for regeneration in Tendring:
- "Unemployment at or below the regional level
- Wages at or above the regional level
- Better job prospects within the district
- Stronger and more sustainable communities
- Improved transport links and infrastructure
- A strong business sector including community and social
enterprise
- A healthier population
- Stronger educational attainment
- Better quality housing
- Less pockets of deprivation - No wards being within the top 10%
nationally in the Index of Multiple Deprivation."
Success will be a positive impact on these measures. It will
take sustained effort, resources and
time. |
