Project Tendring is "a whole organisation focus on economic, physical, social and environmental improvement in Tendring". It is an approach Not (just) a project. Not (just) a company.

Tendring Regeneration Ltd is the "leading edge" of this work - focusing primarily on delivery of economic development and physical regeneration projects.

But Project Tendring is an overarching commitment to regeneration by the Council, recognising that regeneration is the greatest need in the District; that the needs of the various parts of the District are not the same; that we need to work with partners across the district because the work to be done cuts across numerous organisations; that we need to mobilise the whole Council in support of this aim and that we need to lever in more resources to the district because the issues we face are well beyond the resources available to the Council. These are the guiding principles for Project Tendring - both for the Company and for the way in which Project Tendring will drive the future planning and delivery of the Councils many services.

All of this needs sustained commitment and drive at a political level, dedicated financial resources, effective engagement with partners and people in communities and skilled people to provide the capacity for work to be taken forward.

Above all there is a need for a sustained focus on the regeneration of the district which cannot be provided with the same intensity by the Council because it has a multitude of other demands on its people and money. That is why Tendring Regeneration Ltd has been set up.
