Regeneration Strategy for the District 2010
to 2016
The Council is putting together a major new Regeneration
Strategy for the District for 2010 through to 2016.

Residents and businesses across Tendring have recently had a
chance to contribute to the future regeneration of their District.
A consultation event was held in the Princes Theatre on 26th
January 2010 to get the views of businesses and agencies who are
interested in creating and delivering the right environment for the
area to thrive and prosper.
The
Feedback from the delegates at this event is attached.
The Council's draft strategy has been before the Council's
Community Leadership and Partnerships Committee in January and will
be submitted to full Council in March.
Regeneration Projects
The Regeneration Section of Tendring District
Council focuses on the economic and social regeneration of the
District. It works with a range of partners in both the public and
private sectors to provide a rich environment for investment ,
employment, enterprise and tourism opportunities.

Regeneration Statement
A Regeneration Statement was produced in 2006 which identified
the key issues, opportunities and higher level outcomes that the
District sought to deliver in the District between 2006 - 2021 in
order to maximise the benefits for all residents. It reflected the
Council's policy of identifying regeneration as its number one
priority.

due for publication in early 2010.
