An operator with a General Betting (Standard) Operating
Licence is permitted up to four gaming machines in any category
other than A, B1 or B3A, but these will have to comply with the
technical standards which the Gambling Commission has developed and
published.
All gaming machines situated in a betting premises must abide by
the Gambling Commission Gaming Machine Technical Standard and be
tested to the appropriate standard by an approved test house.
The rules for positioning of gaming machines in relation to
other activities on the premises are liste in the Mandatory and
Default Conditions to the Gambling Act 2005.

Applications are usually dealt with within 2 months of receipt
of a full application. In very exceptional circumstances the
deadline may be required to be extended, you will be notified of
the new deadline and the reason for extending it.
